TPT & Blogging Questions

Just a couple of quick questions for my blogging friends.

  1. I'm working on a couple of projects right now that I might want to put on TPT.  I'm not sure if I will, but if I do I want to make sure I use clip art correctly. Since I would be selling the documents, I know I have to be careful of what clip art I use.  Where do you get the clip art that you can legally use on TPT documents?
  2. One of my goals this month is to redesign my blog for a more customized look.  Despite having a blog, I really know nothing about creating a blog design.  That would be NOTHING in all caps!  :-)  I'm pretty good at typing up my blog posts and throwing in some pictures, but that's about it!  So, I'm looking to pay for someone to do it or help me do it.  Do you have any suggestions on who to use?
Thanks for your help!

  1. I go to TpT artists first by checking out their TpT page/blogs and then head to ETSY, type in clipart with specifics, like "Clipart of kids" and tons come up. Each seller has a TOU there so you'll know instantly if you can use to sell.

    Good luck!

  4. You want to make sure that the clipart you use says something like Commercial Use OK. When I started making things I was so overwhelmed by the idea that some are OK for commercial use but had limitations like you can't use it for freebies that I started making my own. I've only been doing it a month so I don't have a huge selection but all of my clipart is OK for Commercial Use (and freebies). I have it in my TPT store and on Teachers Notebook. Teachers Notebook has several Clipart Galleries that you could look through as well. You can find links in my side bar.

  5. I am currently designing blogs. Email me at stephaniewood_35@yahoo.com and we can work something out. I am still new to it so I am fairly priced. Also, etsy and scrappin doodles are wonderful places for digital clip art and paper. I can send you some of my favorite shops once I have access to my computer. I hope to hear from you!

  6. To redesign your blog, I'd use Honeybunch... they're great! You can check them out here: http://www.teachingblogaddict.com/2012/06/beautiful-custom-blog-designs-by-honey.html
They do a lot of the bloggers that you see out there, and they customize each one so it's different.

  9. Check out Creative Commons. They provide licenses to creators so that others can use their work without fear of copyright infringement. On the page below is a search to help you find specific images/clip art with these types of licenses.
